Product Description

Dr. Peter Kowey is a world master of the medical mystery genre.   All three of Peter Kowey’s best-selling series featuring Philip Sarkis, the good doctor forced to become a detective in order to protect himself, are available in a this gigantic set.

In Lethal Rhythm, he is sued for malpractice after a young patient dies suddenly and unexpectedly, and then sinks into an alcoholic depression, losing his family and his career. With the help of two remarkable women attorneys, Sarkis discovers some astonishing things about his patient, her husband and his diabolical mistress, and himself.

In Deadly Rhythm, an elderly WWII veteran dies in a nursing home under suspicious circumstances. In the midst of dozens of elderly men suddenly expiring and malpractice suits sprouting up, Sarkis is called into the case. As he and his partner Dorothy explore, they uncover a conspiracy, they encounter serious intimidation.

And then, before you can catch your breath, Sarkis and Dorothy are drawn into the murky world of murder again in The Empty Net when the sudden death of a hockey goaltender star, the murder of a malpractice attorney, and the police investigation of Sarkis combine for a dark and seedy underworld tale. The suspense here is thicker then fog.

The mysteries get even thicker when Sebastian Bergstrom was the young star goaltender for the Boston Bruins, the franchise player who was going to return the legendary hockey team to greatness. That is, until he suddenly collapsed during a game, launching a contentious and complicated medical investigation that culminated in Sebby’s triumphant return to the ice. But a few months later, Sebby went down again, this time for good. His death touched off a malpractice suit against the Harvard cardiologist who cleared him to play. Though eventually exonerated of any wrongdoing, the case took a horrible toll on the doctor and his family. The Bergstrom case resurfaced a few years later, when the attorney who led the lawsuit against the doctor fell victim to a savage attack on the Harvard Bridge. The police zeroed in on a prime suspect, an old friend of the doctor sued in the Bergstrom case… one Philip Sarkis, MD.

Terrific. Even made me laugh out loud at times; your descriptions of Philly, restaurants, academic and private practice medicine, the FDA, the legal mess --Arnold Meshkov, Cariologist

I loved it! I literally couldn't put it down. --Shauna Mace, Director of New Client Relations

I began the book reading about 10 pgs each night before sleep. When I got to about halfway through, the book grabbed me and I found myself opening my "nighttime read" during the day. So, there you have it! I read the remaining 50% all in one sitting yesterday afternoon.
