TREMENDOUS HORROR TALE: THE BLOODY FOOTPRINTS
Hawthorne shows his writing genius by exploring the combined worlds of romance and supernatural. Can there be a romance with the ever-after? What changes to human nature would occur if life did not end? Hawthorne is never bashful about shocking our sensibilities.
paperback book
Nathaniel Hawthorne is closely associated with Salem,
Massachusetts, and, indeed, was born there in 1804 to a family with a
long line of Puritan ancestors, including the presiding judge at the
Salem witch trials. The death at sea of his father deprived him of that
influence, and he became extremely close to his mother. His affinity
towards writing was life-long.
